The words that flutter from your extraordinary mind

JIE

I've been listening to different renditions of dust in the wind, it brings about unspoken sadness each time.

I close my eyes, only for a moment
and the moment's gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes in curiosity

Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind

The word "school" was originally derived from a greek word "scholē", which means leisure.

Im beginning feel slightly nauseated everytime i catch a glimpse of PW-related tasks in my gmail or text inbox. Ever since we got our A level topic, we've practically been married to Mister project work. The whole process is monotonous, tedious and dulling to the senses. I don't even want to think about how im going to crawl through the rest of the year.

Last night i felt a sudden urge to fix the guitar. Usually, my sister and i will simply call Louis, or Joseph, or someone generally kind and talented to deal with the mess. Yesterday i decided that i was going to fix my own things for a change.

It was close to 1 am, there weren't that many options available you see. I opted the bimbotic, Isla Fisher way out. Literally went on google to search on How to fix your guitar. I managed it in the end! Kudos to guitar-loving, technology-savvy, generous souls. Your tutorials are so much clearer than some of the ones i attend in school.

I wanted to write a good long post, but my sister wants to go swimming (now!)
I'll make it short:

1.)The love for three oranges. We thought we were going to get locked out so we ran, yes we ran all the way to the Arts house. The play was actually rather refreshing, with a healthy dose of humour.
2.)Somehow I find it easier to share with non-believers; debating with believers makes me feel quite ill.
3.)I've fallen in love with Bossa Nova (ahhhh, like jazz!)
4.)I've almost forgotten what joy it is to be able to play the piano/strum the guitar and sing.
5.)M, you're right. i have nothing to feel unhappy about and so much to be thankful for.

I'm tired of playing your stupid game. So i quit, yay.

Little is much when God's in it
And no one can fathom the plans He holds
Little is much when God's in it
He changes the world with the seeds we sow
Little is much, little is much

...
Consider a Kingdom in the smallest seed
Consider that giants fall to stones and slings
Consider a child in a manger
Consider the story isn't over
What can be done with what you still have

Tomorrow i have lessons until 9:30. I like wednesday night classes whereby i get to sit (and cheat, haha) with zhiyang when the questions are too difficult. If we don't get a ride home we'll take bus service 13. He'll wake me up when i fall asleep, then we'll walk home. By the time i get home i'll be so drained - i'll hardly have enough energy to pay attention to anyone, or anything.

Im falling sick. My body feels warm and my head hurts.

Night cycling, yay!

From GP:

"In her own mind, Ms. L. had triumphed over adversity. In her own mind, she was a feel-good segment on Oprah. Everyone wants to triumph. But not everyone can—in fact, most can’t. If they could, it wouldn’t be any kind of a triumph at all. Never would I want to cheapen the accomplishments of those who really have conquered college, who were able to get past their deficits and earn a diploma, maybe even climbing onto the college honor roll. That is truly something (..)" -In the Basement of the Ivory Tower

His words are just dripping with sarcasm.
Witty enough for me to read up on his whole article (Atlantic monthly)

Love story meets Viva La Vida

I enjoy listening to ordinary people making the kind of music that knows no boundaries.

O sing to the Lord a new song
for He has done wonderful things!

For as long as i shall live, i will testify to love
I'll be a witness in the silences when words are not enough
With every breath i take i'll give thanks to God above
For as long as i shall live, i'll testify to love.

Apparently "A cappella music originally was, and still often is, used in religious music, especially church music.." - Wikipedia

Ahh i'd love to worship with A cappella music (:

Sometimes i think the person i've been searching for doesn't acually exist!
